We make a difference by making it real for you – your conditions, your learners.
Investing in teachers’ subject pedagogical knowledge is key for initiating and sustaining effective whole school approaches. Instructional materials and pedagogical frameworks all require teachers to have this knowledge in order to observe, monitor, and provide feedback to their students “in the moment.” Together we grow teachers’ knowledge of how children learn mathematics. Teachers are empowered to optimize existing resources and integrate high impact routines, creating an effective blend of teaching styles and a varied and inclusive repertoire of tasks.
Contributive Learning Through Mathematics (grades P-10)
-
- Four immersive days spread across the year that follow a strategically developmental series of workshops featuring hands-on professional development, classroom modeling of routines, and observational coaching.
- Four 30-minute webinars where participants come together to celebrate short-term wins around instructional practices.
- Four informal “catch ups” (in person or virtual depending on locations) where our team make ourselves available to answer questions and give advice around the workshop materials and learning.
- Access to a curated collection of rich routines and open tasks
Workshops can be tailored for whole-staff development, math departments across schools, or a “train-the-trainer” model for math leaders, including department heads, TOSAs, curriculum developers, and directors.
