Building Capacity + Enacting the Work = Contributive Leadership
Contributive Learning is not merely an educational philosophy; it is a compass that aligns leadership, teaching, and learning. It beckons us to look beyond traditional measures of success and delve into the very essence of our roles as educators and leaders. Here, we recognize that school improvement is not a mere checkbox—it is the heartbeat of progress. As we strive for excellence, let us remember that the common yardstick of improvement remains student achievement. Yet, there lies a deeper truth: Success extends beyond test scores. It encompasses the holistic growth of our students, the empowerment of our teachers, and the unwavering commitment of our leaders.
In our Leadership Series, we delve into the intricate elements that weave the fabric of success. We understand that optimal improvement blooms when school and middle leaders fully grasp their roles and enact purposeful practices.
Guiding Principles
- A quality school cannot exceed the quality of its leadership or teacher expertise.
- Successful change is process driven.
- Effective leaders set direction, develop people, & measure progress.
- Leadership development must be job embedded, at the point of need, ongoing, & evidence based.
- Learning is a lifelong journey of understanding who we are, how we fit into the world, and ways we can contribute to the world in relevant and meaningful ways.
Leading Contributive Learning Workshop Series
Our approach fosters leadership partnerships that unite vision, share goals, and strengthen collaborative teams. Leaders emerge equipped to set direction, develop people, and measure progress on the key priorities that drive student learning and success. The partnership includes coaching and workshops that focus on the following areas of leadership:
- Building Culture for Contributive Learning: conditions for success
- Roles Leaders Play: understanding and enacting my leadership role in leading the work
- Proven leadership practices for Contributive Learning: action learning exploration
Leadership workshops utilize the tools for system improvement. In addition, we tease out and engage in learning about the roles leaders play in school improvement and the observable practices that leaders need to enact for school improvement to happen.
Transformation is maximized when a school/district engage in the leadership series in parallel with our teacher professional learning workshops (Contributive Learning Design and/or Contributive Learning through Mathematics)
